Au pairs are entitled to one week's paid leave for every six months worked. If you decide to go on holiday and are not taking the au pair with you, she must be paid during your absence.

Should there be a good reason to ask your au pair to leave, two weeks' notice should be given. If there has been a misdemeanor and it is not acceptable for the au pair to continue to stay in your house, the agency will advise how best to handle the situation.
